Forklift Driver/Yard Operative:

Prism-7 Resourcing are looking for Forklift Driver/Yard Operative for their client based in Romford, Essex.

Counterbalance/Reach fork lift licence is essential.

Warehouse duties:

· Receive goods at the loading/receiving dock

· Store received goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse

· Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt

· Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with heavy lifting equipment

· Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse

· Clean the space and ensure that goods don’t get damaged

· Work with a team and support the team when needed

· Load goods onto vans for shipping

· Pick and pack orders for dispatch

· Load goods for dispatch

· Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards

· Keep accurate stock records

· Carry out stock counts as and when required

· Keep paperwork up to date

· Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

· Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others

· Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

· Production line support

· Ad hoc duties

· Work with in-house systems

Key attributes:

· Counterbalance fork lift licence (essential)

· Flexi truck fork lift licence (beneficial)

· Health and safety training (beneficial)

· COSHH training (beneficial)

· Flexible Positive can-do attitude

· Scanner experience (beneficial)

· Team Player

· Self-motivated

· Good attention to details

· Working without supervision

· Good communications skills

· Good numeric skills

· Basic Microsoft office

Working hours:

Low season : Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

High season: Monday to Saturday (Saturdays 7am to 1pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.45-£11.42 per hour
