HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver

Prism-7 resourcing are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our clients team based in Dagenham (RM9).

As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for moving lorries around various locations in the yard and inspecting the vehicles for any defects. Also, need to go out for deliveries as require.

Duties:
- Safely moving lorries to designated locations
- Load and unload as needed
- Follow schedules efficiently
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members effectively
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records

Pay rate is £18.50 standard hours for HGV 1 drivers, with overtime rates at 1.5 times rate.

Shift time: 12noon till 8pm

We have ongoing Monday to Saturday work, one week 5 days, one week 6 days.

Position is assessment based.

To be eligible, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Full UK licence with entitlement to drive HGV 1 vehicle.

Full CPC and Digi tacho card

No more than 6 penalty points, and no DD, DR on IN convictions on licence

Preferably at least 2 years UK based HGV driving & shunting experience.
